More about Jacqueline Stevenson?

Jacqueline Stevenson is a distinguished business owner, community leader, and dedicated mother of four, currently residing in Baltimore County with her spouse. With an unwavering commitment to enhancing family well-being, supporting local enterprises, and fostering safer, more prosperous communities, she has firmly established her presence over the past 15 years, including 11 years within District 8.

Born in Baltimore City and raised in a single-parent household alongside her grandmother and extended family, Jacqueline navigated the challenges faced by many families in pursuit of stability and opportunities. Her entrepreneurial journey commenced at the age of 13 when she initiated a hair-braiding business to support herself during her adolescence. This early venture eventually culminated in the founding of her first company in 2017—a commercial freight transportation business that streamlined logistics and goods delivery for enterprises nationwide. Through this endeavor, Jacqueline acquired essential skills in regulatory navigation, workforce management, and the establishment of strategic partnerships.

In 2019, Jacqueline founded the Counselors in the Community Association (CITCA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving access to community resources, workforce development, and mental health support. As President of CITCA, she spearheads initiatives that advocate for educational advancement, early learning, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) innovation, and the connection of families to vital resources, all aimed at promoting long-term stability and success.

Jacqueline holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and is actively pursuing a PhD in Cyberpsychology, in addition to advanced studies in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Applied Behavior Analysis, and Legal Assisting. Her academic and professional trajectory is centered on enhancing systems, broadening opportunities, and crafting practical solutions to fortify communities. Her extensive professional experience includes roles with notable organizations in Maryland such as Comcast, the University of Maryland, Sheppard Pratt, and Catholic Charities.
